PROJECT LUMO

LUMO is a safety device designed to prevent the unsafeness of homemade kerosene lamps in Sri Lanka. It features a base with low center of gravity, a durable steel frame, flame cover and a fire-extinguishing lid. Villagers lack trust in alternative projects due to their short lifespan. LUMO allows them to safely continue their practice until the government or another party provides free electricity or a long-term, affordable solution is developed.
