Things get tense in a conventional Indian middle-class household when Guddi, the youngest member, feels unseen. Crushed by father’s lack of acknowledgment, her silent revolution shifts family dynamics, cooling conversations and dinners. “Rasmalai” questions the father’s role and men’s hard inexpressive nature bound by the patriarchal society, and its impact on a child’s development. Can a sweet truce restore love and respect?
