The theme of the 2020 Taiwan International Student Design Competition is “Action.”

“Actions speak louder than words,” says Confucius

“I never worry about action, but only about inaction,” states Winston Churchill, former British prime minister.

If “Action” is associated with the “SDGs: Sustainable Development Goals,” which were advocated by the UN in 2015 as goals to be achieved by 2030, this theme will then serve to remind students worldwide that in order to prevent disasters from happening, immediate actions must be taken, and that they can use design to resolve global sustainable development issues and thus amply fulfill their responsibilities as global citizens.
