Profile China University of Technology (CUTe) was established in 1965 as “Chinese Institute of Municipal Administration” and was changed into its present title in 1983. The university has two campuses. Both campuses are beautiful, have excellent life functions and convenient transportation. The university provides diversified learning channels, including 3 colleges (College of Planning & Design, College of Management, and College of Computer Science), 15 departments/divisions, 7 graduate schools, and 4-year college of technology and graduate schools. In continuing education, Institutes for 4-year/2-year technology and vocation are available as well. Teaching Characteristics High Education Sprout Project: All-out efforts have been made for diversified innovative teaching, connections with the industry, assistance to the underpriviledged students, and taking the university social responsibilities. Practice-oriented Teaching Integrating cross-college/cross-department courses to enhance cross-field practice ability. Launching career development courses, such as career exploration, communication/presentation skills, and professional ethics to build the integrating ability of study and employment. Diligent Teaching and Encouraging Learning Movement Promoting Diligent Teaching and Encouraging Learning Movement to update teachers’ teaching methods and change students’ learning attitude to result in a good working attitude in the future. Character Education “Potential talents cultivation project” for outstanding young persons selection has been promoted since 2018. Students who are qualified with basic and value-added requirements can apply for the project under teachers’ recommendation and will be issued award at school anniversary celebration. International Exchanges Dual Degree Program has been collaborated between CUTe and Metropolitan State University, providing three years in Taiwan and one year in the US to get dual degrees. Students can apply for studying one year in the US in their senior year and obtain dual degrees after they complete all the graduation requirements and overseas internship.
