Online registration and work submissions of 2021 Taiwan International Student Design Competition (2021TISDC), the largest student design competition in the world, starts today!!!

2021TISDC is organized and promoted by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (Taiwan), sponsored by iSee Taiwan Foundation and Sayling Wen Cultural and Educational Foundation, and executed by the Department of Visual Communication Design, Asia University. The theme of this year’s competition is “Regenerate,” which relates to United Nation’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2015, the UN proposed the Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved by 2030, which inspires the theme of 2021TISDC – Regenerate. Students from around the world are encouraged to look back to what has been created and think outside the box, starting anew and digging deep within themselves in order to forge a new path with rich design thinking.

The total prize money of 2021TISDC is up to NT$4,500,000 (approx. US$150,000). No registration fee is required to participate in the competition. This year, 21 international design associations endorse special prizes and the prizes are sponsored by iSee Taiwan Foundation and Sayling Wen Cultural and Educational Foundation. In addition, there’re two environmental sustainability award sponsored by TPCA Environment Foundation. The jury panel will select two works “with significance for circular economy” among the shortlisted entries in the Product Design category and Visual Design category to win this award. 2021TISDC looks forward to young student designers’ active participation in this year’s competition.

Grand Prix (1 winner): NT$400,000 (approx. US$13,000), an awarding cup and a certificate

Gold Prize (1 winner for each category): NT$250,000 (approx. US$8,000), an awarding cup and a certificate

Silver Prize (1 winner for each category): NT$150,000 (approx. US$5,000), an awarding cup and a certificate

Bronze Prize (3 winners for each category): NT$60,000 (approx. US$2,000), an awarding cup and a certificate

Honorable Mention (several winners for each category): NT$10,000 (approx. US$330) and a certificate

 

International Design Association Special Prize (21 winners for this prize)
