Bangkok Design Week is in its 6th year, the theme of 2023 is “urban’NICE’zation, wants to convey that during the pandemic, many cities around the world are facing challenges and hope that creative people could create with their inspiring and encouraging idea and build a better city.

On February 3rd, Project Manager of TISDC and the Associate Project Director Sheng-Min Hsieh had a dinner party with the executive director Mr. Chakrit Pichyangkul and director Mr. Pichit Virankabutra. The executive director Mr. Chakrit Pichyangkul emphasizes the importance of internationalization of CEA and hope to have deeper and more collaboration with TISDC. They also will assist with the promotion of TISDC this year.

Project manager of TISDC participated in the opening ceremony of the Bangkok Design Week today (Feb. 4th). According to the Bangkok Design Week, over 60 national administrative departments, public departments, academic departments, and international organizations join annually, with over 2,000 designers and design-related industries, and attract over 400,000 domestic and international participants. Associate Project Director Sheng-Min Hsieh met one of his former students, Li-Mei Chen (now Head of Dept. of Visual Communication Design, TUT), leading her students on a visit to the Bangkok Design Week. This has proved the international influence and importance of the Bangkok Design Week.

TISDC would like to thank our international collaboration partner, Creative Economy Agency (CEA), for their long-term support. This is the first stop of 2023 TISDC’s Overseas Promotional Campaign in Bangkok Design Week. The exhibition is located at CHAI PHATTHANASLIP from Feb. 4th (Sat.) to Feb. 12th (Sun.).

TISDC has exhibited the works of 2022 TISDC winners in the 2023 Bangkok Design Week. TISDC hopes to invite students and the public to know more about us as well as to see different works made by designers from all over the world. We hope to inspire and accumulate many more creativities.

A big thank you for the huge support from the public and, of course, the Creative Economy Agency for all the help to make this event a huge success.
