The fourth stop of our TISDC Overseas Promotional Campaign was held from Wednesday, June 22nd to Monday, June 27th 2022 at the International Design Center NAGOYA (IdcN). The 6-day exhibition completed on Monday June 27th successfully. In order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of IdcN and to promote the friendly relationship between Taiwan and Japan, the International Design Center NAGOYA specially planned an overseas exchange online seminar in early July.

The overseas campaign was able to exhibit the works of the winners of 2021TISDC throughout the attentive support and planning from both the International Design Center NAGOYA and the Chubu Creators Club. Members of the Chubu Creators Club well-arranged the venue by not only placing the 2021TISDC portfolios of the winners, but also the competition DM of 2022TISDC. We hope that more and more Japanese students and teachers can get to know TISDC better through this exhibition. Furthermore, we would like to inspire the students majoring in design to create even more excellent works and absorb essentials from other international students.

On July 8th, a specially planned overseas exchange online seminar “Social Design – 未来を作るアイディア (Social Design – ldeas to Create the Future)” invited the winner of the visual design category of 2021TISDC, designer Wei You-Lin and the winner of the product design category of 2021TISDC, designer Lin Ya-Zhu, and also design graduate Haruka Ota and the winner of the Disaster Mitigation Design Competition Ayane Nakahara shared the winning works and their creative ideas. Through the different backgrounds and the interaction of students, designers and design educators, the future will reflect on the social design and a new value creation required for the next era. It is hoped that this webinar will increase the international exchanges between young designers from Taiwan and Japan, and also create a new energy into design education in both countries.
