A Look into 2020 Taiwan International Student Design Competition’s Promotional Event – Exhibition in Thailand – Bangkok Design Week 2020
First of all, Taiwan International Student Design Competition would like to express its special thanks to Creative Economy Agency (CEA), one of TISDC’s international collaborators, for its continued support and assistance. Thanks to CEA’s arrangement, TISDC could have the opportunity to join Bangkok Design Week 2020 to exhibit its 2019 winning students works. Design weeks held in big cities around the world are often viewed as important platforms for international designers to have exchange and brainstroming together. Therefore, in recent years, TISDC has made good use of this kind of platform, such as Bangkok Design Week 2019 and Chiang Mai Design Week 2018, to show the world the design power of Taiwan and the emphasis Taiwan puts on design field and design education.
These years, Thailand Government and citizens also focus great attention on design field, developing great design power. In 2020, the yearly Bangkok Design Week is carried out from February 1st to February 9th. Thanks to the invitation from CEA’s executive director, Mr. Apisit Laistrooglai, and acting director of Creative City Development, Mr. Pichit Virankabutra, TISDC’s associate project directors, Prof. Jun-Hong Chen and Prof. Shin-Fu Lee, could lead the execution team of TISDC to participate in such a grand international design event. This exhibition in BKKDW2020 not only presents the execellent design works of students to the world but also raises the visibility as well as enhances the internationalization of Taiwan, which are the golas of TISDC.
