A Look into 2020 Taiwan International Student Design Competition’s Promotional Campaign-TransWorld University, April 29th
The fifteenth stop of Taiwan International Student Design Competition’s domestic promotion is TransWorld University. Thanks to the invitation from Teacher Yu-Yu Liu and Professor Yu-Ya Yeh of Department of Visual Communication Design and from Prof. Ming-Cheng Huang of Department of Multimedia and Animation Design, TISDC could have the opportunity to introduce this year’s competition to design students at TransWorld University. Prof. Jun-Hong Chen, associate project director of TISDC, not only focused on the competition regulations of 2020TISDC but also let the attendees know the achievements that TISDC has reached so far as well as shared the winning works of 2019TISDC with everyone. Prof. Chen hopes that students could have more confidence in their designs and seize the opportunity to show the world their brilliant works.
The theme of 2020TISDC is “Action,” which is derived from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations. The theme ssuggests students take quick actions on solving the global sustainability problem through design for the purpose of being responsible world citizens. In addition to the awards that have been established in previous years, this year, a new award called Enviromental Sustainability Award is founded. This award is sponsored by TPCA Environment Foundation and the winner could win NT$100,000, hoping to encourage design students to look into the issue of environmental sustainability.
TISDC looks forwad to the participation of students of TransWorld University.
