A Look into 2020 Taiwan International Student Design Competition’s Promotional Campaign – National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, March 12th

The third stop of 2020 Taiwan International Studnet Design Competition’s (2020TISDC) domestic promotion was National Pingtung University of Science and Technology. Thanks to the invitation from the Department of Wood Science and Design, 2020TISC could have the opportunity to introduce this year’s competition to design students. On March 12th, around 40 professors and students joined us together. TISDC’s project manager, Ms. Lin, shared not only 2020TISDC’s regulations but also some of the winning entries of 2019TISDC with the attendees.

The theme of 2020TISDC is “Action,” which is derived from the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations in 2015. The United Nations hope that global citizens could take action immediately to face the difficulties occured from the procedure of making the world more sustainable and suitable to live and reach the 17 goals by 2030. Students who are interested in participating in this year’s competition could look into these proposed issues and see how designs could help deal with these obstacles.

For students who would like to participate in product design category, this year, there is one new award for this category. TPCA Environment Foundation is the special award sponsor of 2020TISDC and established the Environmental Sustainability Award, aiming to select entries with significance of environmental sustainability to be the winner of this award. Students could take this opportunity to show the world their excellent works and win the great prizes.
