A Look into 2020 Taiwan International Student Design Competition’s Promotional Campaign – Hsing Wu University, April 13th

Thanks to the invitation from Hsin Wu University’s Department of Commercial Design, 2020 Taiwan International Student Design Competition (2020TISDC) could have the chance to promote this year’s competition with students.  On April 13th, TISDC’s project manager, Ms. Yi-Shan Lin, not only shared the winning entries of last year but also this year’s competition regulations with the attendees. Ms. Lin encourages students to participate in TISDC since their freshman year, which will become a great opportunity to enhance and accumulte their design thinking and design skills. 

The theme of 2020TISDC is “Action,” which relates to United Nation’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Putting in mind that preparation and quick actions are needed, students are encouraged to find solution to the global sustainability problem as responsible worldwide citizens. In addition, a new Environmental Sustainability Award is introduced this year. Sponsored by TPCA Environment Foundation, this Special Award aims to prompt ways of incorporating the circular concept into our environment, and looks for innovative takes on the concept essence of environment sustainability. Hope students could seize this chance to not only look into these issues but also use their talents in design to help turn the world into a better place. 

Once again, TISDC would like to expess its special thanks to Prof. Jeff Wong, and Prof. Yung-Yun Lin for helping organizing this promotional campaign and encouraging students to join us actively. TISDC looks forward to the excellent works from Hsin Wu University’s Department of Commercial Design.
