A Look into 2020 Taiwan International Student Design Competition’s Promotional Campaign – China University of Technology, May 12th
On May 12th, 2020 Taiwan International Student Design Competition (2020TISDC) visited China University of Technology to promote this year’s competition and have design exchanges with students from the Department of Visual Communication Design. Ms. Mandy Chuang, project manager of 2020TISDC, also shared some of the winning entries of past years with the attendess, hoping to provide some inspiring ideas for this year’s competition.
The theme of 2020TISDC is “Action,” suggesting taking quick actions on solving the global sustainability problem through design for the purpose of being responsible world citizens. TISDC welcomes students who currently enroll in senior high schools or above in Taiwan and abroad and younger than 30 years of age to participate in this year’s competition. Participants are encouraged to look into the Sustainable Development Goals (the SDGs) proposed by the United Nations in 2015, which include 17 issues that need we people’s awareness, and see how to use design to solve these problems.
2020TISDC would like to thank associate professor Bo-Wen Wu, chair of Department of Visual Communication Design and assistant professors, Ms. Cheng-Mei Hsu and Mr. Sheng-Chuan Chang, for helping arrange this promotional campaign and encouraging students to participate in this year’s competition. Hope students could seize this great opportunity to show the world their brilliant designs.
